Now that we are all settled into the schedule and routine of kindergarten, we have started exploring our curriculum. Last week we learned our first two letters Mm and Ss. We worked so hard all week that as a special treat we enjoyed milk shakes and silly sock day on Fun Friday! We also learned our first sight word, I, this week. It was a little confusing because our first sight word is also a letter.
In addition to all the other new and exciting things we have been doing in kindergarten, we also started homework! This can be fun and enjoyable for some and a difficult task for others. Please encourage your child to do their best, but homework should not take more than 15-20 minutes.
This week we are learning about the letter Rr and our new sight word a. For our Fun Friday activity we will be making Ravishing Rainbows!
Below you will find some pictures of us working hard, exploring classroom areas, and engaging in math centers.
Feel free to leave a comment. We love to hear from you!
