Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. We are back into the swing of things here in Private Kindergarten. We will be learning the rest of the letters and adding new sight words to our word wall weekly. We also have many fun stories about the winter and snow that we will be reading. Many of our activities and writings will also be based off these stories.
We are only 23 days away from the 100th day of school! (That is if we have no snow days!) We have already started to talk about this day as a class. More information will follow as we get closer, but the day will be filled with many fun activities! It is one of my favorite days of the year!
With the cold weather here, please be sure your child has appropriate clothing for outside. We will still try to get out for recess twice a day even if it is only for a few minutes.
Thank you to everyone for the generous donations of classroom supplies. We have already been able to make blue playdoh and have peppermint smelling fizz while mixing vinegar and baking soda! We are looking forward to using the shaving cream for both handwriting practice on the table as well as painting.(When mixed with glue it makes a puffy, shiny substance to paint with.)
Below you will find pictures that were taken before the holiday break. We had lots of fun doing many art activities and projects.
